Originary from Mexico, vanilla is cultivated in all tropical regions, in Africa and Oceania; the most precious one, vanilla Bourbon, comes instead from the island of Réunion and Madagascar.
It is considered the most delicious spice by many, and for this reason it is used to aromatize numerous foods, among which ice-cream.
